Live Review: Warbringer at Barfly

Warbringer are a touring machine but if their impressive onslaught of death infused thrash at the Barfly was anything to go by then the band’s reputation for putting on continually dynamic exhibits is completely justifiable.

After three support acts the Californian five-piece finally met their pepped-up crowd and proceeded to fire off a barrage of neck-breakers from across their solid arsenal. Favourites from the past such as ‘Shoot To Kill’ and ‘Total War’ were met with a frantic pit and ongoing cycle of stage divers whose antics were encouraged by frontman John Kevill.

With the band storming forward without much time for contemplation, without much time to breath for that matter, we were fortunately left with a few final moments to enjoy a cover of Motorhead’s ‘(We Are) The Roadcrew’ – a fitting testament to Warbinger’s ceaseless schedule.
